私のサンクスギビングの休み

私のサンクスギビングの休みはいそがしくて、たのしかったです。　土曜日のばんうちにかえりました。　水曜日にスカイラインにスパゲッティをたべにいって、アイケアにかいものをしにいきました。　そのあとうちの中でともだちとトウイライトのリフトラクスをみました。　木曜日に私はたくさんターキーをたべました。　パイもたべました。　パイはおいしいかったです。　金曜日にえいがをみて、へやの中のベッドの上でかれにでんわをかけました。　まいばんベッドにごぜんさんじからごごじゅうにじまでねました。　土曜日にポートスミスにあににあいにいきました。　くるまでウェストチェスタからポートスミスまでにじかんかかります。　アップルビーズにウィングズをたべにいきました。　日曜日にサウスベンドにかえりました。　この休みはよくて、おもしろかったです。

ごぜん さんじに ラフォーチュンで チプズを たべます

先週の週末　私は　とても　いそがしかったです。　金曜日に　エジーアン　アルーアに　いきました。　おもしろかったです。　じゅうじに　ルームメートと　レジェンズに　コンサートを　みに　いきました。　じゅうにじに　ホットダーグを　たべました。　ごぜん　いちじに　ねました。
土曜日のあさ　ヌランドで　ミティングが　ありました　そして　ピーザを　たべました。　じゅうにじから　にじまで　日本ごの　しゅくだいを　しました。　ごじに　JACCに　ハッキゲームを　みに　いきました。 土曜日のばん　せんたくを　しました。　DDRを　しました。　たのしかったです。　
日曜日に　じゅういちじに　おきました。　さんじに　DPACに　コンサートを　しに　いきました。
週末は　つまらなくありませんでした。　このブローグエントリは　つまらないです。

わたしの へや

わたしの　へやは　大きい　です。　に　へやが　あります。　に　ルームメートが　います。　へや　きれいじゃありません。　くらい　へや　です。　
に　ちさい　テレビが　あります。　テレビの　ちかくに　ふとんが　あります。　ふとんの　となりに　くろい　ふとんが　あります。
いま　へやの　なかに　わたしが　います。　きのう　いませんでした。　きのうのばん　へやのなかのベッドのなかに　ねました。　いつも　へやのなかに　しゅくだいを　します。　きょうのあさ　ふとんのうえに　チョコレートを　たべました。
ベッドのしたに　つくえが　あります。　つくえのうえに　コンピュータが　あります。　わたしのベッドは　せまいベッド　です。

I don't really have a whole lot to say about my room xD あもしろくありません、 but I spend a lot of time here :)

わたしの あきやすみ

せんしゅうは　あきやすみ　です。　せんしゅうの　どようびの　じゅうじごろ　うちに　かえりました。　にちようびの　ごぜん　しちじに　ねました。　ごご　じゅうにじに　おきました。　えいがかんに　いきました　そして　パラノルマル　アクティブティを　みあした。　にちようびの　ばん　キングズ　アイランドに　いきました、　そして　スターバーで　コーヒーを　のみました。ごぜん　じゅうにじごろ　ワフルハオスで　トストを　たべました。　ごぜん　くじごろ　ねました。
げつようびの　よじはんに　おきました。　スカイラインで　スパゲッティを　たべました。　スパゲッティが　すきです。　：）　うちの　ちかしつで　ミサトリ　サイエンス　テェアトル　３０００を　みました。　ごぜん　しちじに　ねました。
かようびの　ごご　にじはんに　おきました。　ダブルダズで　ばんごはんを　たべました、そして　スクリブルナツを　しました。　
すいようび　ラコタ　イーストで　ミケン　せんせいに　ありました。　バファロ　ウィルド　ウィングスで　ばんごはんを　たべました。
もくようびの　じゅういちじに　サウス　ベンドに　かえりました。　ペン　ステシュンで　ひるごはんを　たべました。　もくようびの　ばん　 へやで　ナクド　アプを　みました、　そして　３５８／２　デズを　しました。　じゅういちじはんに　ねました。
きんようび　じゅうじに　おきました。　ごご　いちじに　がくたいの　リハーサルを　しました。　ごご　はちじごろ　レジャンスで　サラドを　たべました。　ごぜん　いちじに　ねました。
どようび　（きのう）　はちじに　おきました。　フトバールゲームを　みあした。　きのうの　ばん　サ６を　みました。
きょうは　にちようび　です。　へやで　しゅくだいを　しぇます。

So now you know when I woke up/went to sleep on most days of fall break. Cool. Fall break was a lot of fun :) I didn't do a whole lot, but I think that was what made it so nice.
A couple weeks ago ミツワに　いきました, so I brought home a bunch of にほんの candy, drinks and まんが, so I was sharing those with my brother. As it turned out, he'd gotten a copy of ファイナルファンタジータクティクス　（Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2）　in にほんご, so I started trying to play it... As it turns out, I don't know a whole lot of Japanese :) It was fun though, because I understood some of the かたかな words, a couple of the ひらがな words, and I even recognized a few かんじ (This makes sense because the story starts in a school). So anyway, I thought that was really cool, and I brought the game back to school with me so I have more study materials :D
Also a couple weeks ago, I was watching Darker than Black with the anime club, and the song that plays during the credits got stuck in my head. It's called ツキアカリ。　Here it is, for all of you to enjoy as well：

こんしゅうの しゅうまつ

こんにちは！　きょうは　にちようび　です。　
おととい　（きんようび）、コンピュータこうがくと　にほんごと　カナダの　じゅぎょうが　ありました。　NDHで　ピザを　たべました、　そして　へやで　ビデオゲームを　しました。　ごぜん　にじごろ　ねました。
きのう　（どようび）、　ごぜん　じゅういちじごろ　おきました。　じゅうにじごろ　Stepan Fieldで　チーズバーガーを　たべました。　へやに　かえりました、　そして　へやで　ビデオゲームを　しました。　テレビを　みました、　でも　フットボールゲームを　みませんでした。　ごぜん　にじごろ　ねました。
きょう、　じゅうにじに　おきました　そして　ひるごはんを　たべました。　いま　りょうで　しゅくだいを　します　そして　にほんごを　べんきょうします。　あした　テストが　あぃます！　こんばん　SDHで　ばんごはんを　たべます、　そして　せんたくを　します。

Introduction and a song

おはよう ございます!
はじめまして。ランダース です。どうぞ よろしく。

There is my wonderful amazing introduction! Hooray.　I hope I got my name right.
The song I'm going to share with you today is called すてきだね (which means "Isn't it beautiful?" or "Isn't it wonderful?"). As you may have guessed, this is where the title of my blog came from. However, this is not the song from Final Fantasy X, as many of you may know. This version is by きろろさん.
This was the only decent video I could find of it on YouTube. I guess it's a slideshow of some sort, but you can just pay attention to the music if you want.

My first post: Why I've chosen to study Japanese

こんばんは！　Landers です。

I would have written my name in Japanese, but I don't know how. Anyway, my first name is Tricia and this is my Japanese blog.
Why did I choose to study Japanese? I've realized gradually throughout the years that I'm very interested in learning more about their language and culture. This probably started when I first got into the Final Fantasy video game series. The games themselves do not contain much evidence of the Japanese culture, but I figured that any place that such games came from must be amazing. From these games and from Dance Dance Revolution I also started hearing many songs in Japanese, and I realized that the Japanese language is very beautiful, and I wanted to know the meaning of the lyrics of the songs I was listening to.
Recently I've played games such as Persona 3 and Persona 4, which are set in Japan and thus use many Japanese terms and are based on Japanese culture. These got me even more interested.
Of course, I've also read manga and watched anime at different points in my life, and as much as I enjoyed them, I was never as into them as some people are. The main interests I have in Japan come from video games, whether learning more through them, or the fact that if I learned Japanese I could play import games :)
My plan at the time is to end up with a minor in Japanese, but we'll see if that actually happens. I'm a computer science major, so I figure it might be useful in some aspect of whatever job I end up with. Also, I would love more than anything to be able to visit Japan someday.
